Monterey Secondary College offers students the opportunity to be part of our instrumental music program, designed to provide a wide variety of choices and musical pathways. We support students in their musical interests, no matter what style of music they aspire to. This includes participation in our Pasefika Choir, rock and pop bands, and hip-hop groups.
The program is supported by excellent facilities and experienced classroom and instrumental music staff who are both educators and musicians, helping all students achieve excellence in the Instrumental Music Program.
The Music Department at Monterey Secondary College offers students the opportunity to take small group music lessons for free during school time on the following instruments:
- Voice
- Keyboard
- Guitar
- Bass Guitar
- Percussion (Drum Kit)
