At Monterey, we run a highly successful literacy intervention program that is underpinned by evidence-informed practice.
We use programs based on the Science of Reading and the science of learning, drawing from cognitive psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, education, and speech-language pathology to understand how people learn to read and write. Currently all of our junior school students are screened for reading, spelling, and writing, and are placed into additional accelerated programs to support their specific needs.
