The Monterey curriculum provides deep and broad learning opportunities for students as they progress through their secondary school experience.

Monterey offers a range of learning experiences at each year level. Curriculum is refined and defined at the end of each year, and detailed handbooks outlining our subjects and content are provided to students and their families.

Beginning in Year 7, the students engage with a number of different subjects including Maths, English, Humanities, Science Health and Physical Education, Art, Design and Technology subjects as well as Music and Performing Arts.

From Year 9 onwards, students begin selecting electives, allowing them to pursue their own passions and interest.

The Monterey curriculum is designed at each year level to progress students on a pathway to excelling in a senior certificate – either the Victorian Certificate of Education, or the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning.

Handbooks for each year level outline the curriculum offerings and are updated in Term 4 of each year. If you would like detailed information on our curriculum please contact the school or join us for a tour.
