These sessions are for all students entering Year 7 in 2025 at Monterey Secondary College.
We strongly encourage every incoming student to participate in at least one session, or more if possible. The sessions are designed to help students become familiar with their new school environment, meet future classmates, and gain confidence before the school year begins. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, explore the school, and start building a sense of belonging. We look forward to welcoming our new students and supporting them in making a smooth transition into secondary school!

Year 7 2025 Information Night
We invite all new and returning families to join us in the Monterey Secondary College Auditorium for an informative evening. Key topics include meeting staff and leadership, important dates, enrolment support, and program overviews. A 30-minute Q&A session will follow the presentation. Silvertop Sports Science Academy – Expression of Interest
Our Silvertop Sports Science Academy offers a balanced athletic and academic program, including physical education, strength and conditioning, health classes, and sports training. Students train in our fitness centre and at Eric Bell sporting fields, with partnerships including the Pines Football Netball Club and Frankston Raiders Rugby League Club. Literacy and Numeracy Testing
All Year 7 2025 students are required to complete literacy and numeracy testing to ensure appropriate class placement and identify any support needs. Please ensure you book a Numeracy Test for your child, if they are joining us in 2025. Families may be contacted for additional literacy testing if necessary.
