Medication

NO medication should be in a student’s possession, except for Ventolin or similar asthma inhalers.

For any medication to be administered by the school, a Medication Authority Form must be completed and submitted to the college. This form can be filled out by the parent or guardian, or by the student’s medical or health practitioner to confirm the necessity of the medication. Permission forms for pain relief medication, such as Paracetamol, must also be completed and signed by a parent or guardian before administration by trained staff. If a signed form is not on file, verbal consent will be obtained from parents.

Regular daily medication should be stored in the Sick Bay and administered under the supervision of trained staff, preferably in its original packaging with clear dosage instructions.
