Our Instructional Model

Monterey Secondary School’s instructional model is founded on the Victorian Department of Education’s High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) and the principles from the book “Driving School Improvement.” This model ensures consistent, high-quality lessons across all year levels, enhancing student learning and outcomes.

Our approach emphasises clear goal setting, structured lessons, and explicit teaching.
